Congratulations to the new parents, Scheana Shay and Brock Honey Davies. On April 26, 2021, the Vanderpump Rules star and the NFL player welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Summer Moon Honey Davies.

Just a day later, on April 27, Shay took to her Instagram handle to share a picture of her holding the baby. Alongside the picture was a heartfelt caption. In the first paragraph of the caption, the TV star wrote;

My heart is SO FULL 🤍 On the morning of 4/26/21 we welcomed to the world Summer Moon Honey Davies, weighing in at 6lbs 12 oz.

In addition to that, she stated that her blood pressure was very high just 24 hours after being induced. She was diagnosed with preeclampsia, which later turned into HELLP syndrome. Fortunately, the doctors noticed that just at the right time and successfully treated her.

Shay continued her words as she wrote, “Until this morning I was on a magnesium drip that made me extremely lethargic and flu-like, shivering uncontrollably to the point where I felt like I was seizing. Having not caught this condition in time, that would have been likely. I am still being monitored closely for elevated liver enzymes and low blood platelets and not sure how much longer we will be here.”

She also thanked everyone who supported her and sent kind words, especially to the hospital staff to which she was admitted. In the end, Shay mentioned that she and her partner are very excited to be the parents of their newly born girl.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and sent their love and thank you to the amazing staff here at Cedars-Sinai. We are definitely feeling all the feels and just so excited to be Summer’s parents!!!

After the news was shared, family, friends, and fans took to the comment section to send their good wishes and congratulate the couple. While Brittany Cartwright commented, "Congratulations, love you so much!! She’s beautiful," Rachel Reilly took a moment to congratulate as well as send prayers for Shay's quick recovery. Reilly wrote, "Congratulations and thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery."

The wonderful news came just six months after the television personality announced that she was pregnant.

The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Had One Miscarriage In The Past

Before the excitement of being a parent, Shay was already pregnant in the past. The first time she learned about her pregnancy was in early June 2020, when she celebrated her boyfriend’s birthday party. In the middle of the party, she began vomiting.

Later, she realized that the vomiting wasn’t due to alcohol; instead, it was because she was pregnant. After learning the news, she and her boyfriend were initially shocked as Shay’s doctors told her that it would be almost impossible for her to get pregnant independently.

The doctors told her that was because Shay has a very low ovarian reserve, and her AMH levels were only 0.28. Despite that, she got pregnant, which made her very happy.

Unfortunately, the happy moment turned into a moment of tragedy when the 35-year-old American television personality was bleeding all weekend. To stop the bleeding, she went on progesterone supplements. Although the bleeding stopped, the most unfortunate situation was yet to come.

And it came when Shay visited her doctor for an ultrasound. During the ultrasound, the doctor noticed that nothing was growing or progressing inside her uterus, and there was no heartbeat. The actress realized she had a miscarriage and broke down. Her doctor suggested her return home, take some rest, and wait to miscarry naturally.

However, all of the sadness of miscarriage was over when Shay got pregnant once again. In October 2020, she revealed her pregnancy through PEOPLE, and six months later, she is the mother of a beautiful baby girl.
